1. Why do I need Email Redundancy Solution?

If you are having your own office mail servers using Streamyx / Broadband / Wireless / ISDN / leased lines / Satellite connections, and sometimes/frequently encountered network/Internet instability issue, it's time for you to consider having a backup plan for your important email messages. With Net Onboard Email Redundancy Solution, you will be worry free of lost email when your email server is down either during or off office hour.
 
 
2. Can I use your Email Redundancy Solution to access my email when my mail server is down?

No. Our email redundancy solution is to hold and store your incoming email in our backup servers when your mail server is down or offline to prevent mail lost issue. You can not send email or check your email from our backup server until your mail server is back to live where the previously stored email will be rerouted to your mail server.
 
 
3. How do I retrieve my email from your Mail Redundancy Server when my email server is back online?

These stored emails will be automatically re-routed to you once your mail system or connection is up and running again. You do not need to perform manual retrieving of email. All the backup and email re-routing process are done automatically by the servers.
 
 
4. How long will my email messages being stored in your Mail Redundancy Server?

Your email messages will be stored at our Mail Redundancy Server for a maximum of 7 days where your primary server should have back online by then. In fact, in a business world, it is very rare to tolerate for a live email server to be down for more than 3 days.
 
 
5. Do you still keep a copy of my email in Net Onboard Mail Redundancy Server after the mail messages are re-routed to my server?

No. Once the email messages is re-routed to your server, there is no copy stored in our Mail Redundancy Server. Therefore, you need not to worry on the email privacy issue.
 
 
6. How does Email Redundancy Solution work?
Step 1
Emails travel as usual when internet connection and 'Your Email Server' are working fine.
 
Step 2
When 'Your Email Server' or internet connection is down. Emails will be returned to sender as undelivered if Email Redundancy Solution is not in placed.
 
Step 3
With Net Onboard Email Redundancy Solution, bounce back mail will never happen. Our Layer 1 comprised of multiple Email Redundancy Servers located globally. This provides 100% availability for your email service.
 
Step 4
Emails captured in Layer 1 will then be passed to our Spam & Virus Firewall for filtering.
 
Step 5
Cleaned Mail will be released to our Layer 2 Redundancy Email Server and automatically re-routed to 'Your Email Server' once it is live again.

Yes, provided :-
- your mail server will be up within the given period of 7 days as our Redundancy Servers only holds your email up to maximum of 7 days.
- each incoming mail does not exceed 20MB and your mailbox has sufficient space to receive the incoming mail thereafter.

Of course, this guarantee does not cover the unexpected natural disasters / war etc happened which affected the whole world. Anyway, this chance is very low as we have many layers and redundancy locations.
 
 
9. How much does this plan cost?

We offer three type of packages to cope for different users requirements based on the email volume. You shall go for higher package if you have many email accounts and heavy email traffic per day.
