2. What about the Web Hosting?

Since you have your domain name registered through us, you might decide to have us host your website. They all come in a cheap package anyway. All in all, we will help you register your domain name and then host your web content. 3. What is the difference between Windows & Linux Hosting platform?

The major difference will be the programming languages support in each platform. i.e. if you need ASP or .NET, you need Windows Hosting. If you need PHP, we recommend you to go for Linux hosting.
 
 
4. Do your servers support ASP, .NET, PHP?

Yes. Our Windows 2003/2008 Server supports Microsoft Active Server Pages (ASP), Microsoft Active Server Pages .NET (ASP .NET), PHP 5, WML, XML whereas our Linux Server supports PHP 5, WML, XML. For more details, please check our Web Hosting plans for the features provided.
 
5. Do your servers support FrontPage Extension?

Yes. Both our Windows 2003/8 Server and Linux Server support FrontPage 2002.
 
 
6. What type of Database your Servers support?

Our Windows 2003/8 server support Microsoft Access & MySQL while Linux sever support Ms Access, MySQL.

Microsoft SQL Database 2005 is supported under Windows Server but not on Linux server. If you wish to use Microsoft SQL Database, please add in this option during signup under Windows hosting plan.
 

 
7. Can I run a chat room, IRC client or statistic system or a banner exchange web site?

No. A Virtual Server must be shared with other users and thus, we must limit how much of the CPU, memory, disk I/O, disk space and database use can be used by any one account on a shared server. You are not allowed to run these web sites as they consume a lot of server resources and will require the use of a dedicated server. We will suspend any web site that uses an unfair amount of system resources and we may re-instate them at our discretion.

8. Can I do mass mailing?

No. We have a strict policy regarding use of system resources including email services in our Shared Virtual Servers (including the Bulk Reseller servers) to ensure fairness:

1. Max incoming email size - 10MB.
2. Max outgoing email size - 10MB.
3. Max recipients per email - 20. (including CC and BCC)
4. Max email per hour per domain is 200.
 

 
9. Can I run a forum web site?

No. You are not allowed to run Forum/Torrent/IRC/Chat application or any kind of programs or web sites that consume a lot of server resources under our shared hosting environment. You may go for Semi Dedicated hosting option.

You may run your web application which require MySQL database. However, any web application hosted at our server under a shared hosting environment shall not utilize an unfair amount of any or all the server resources i.e. CPU Usage, Memory etc. Any forum to have more than 45 concurrent MySQL access will be considered as heavy usage and is not allowed to host under our shared hosting. We shall have the right to suspend or terminate the site.
 

 
10. Can I do media streaming at my web site?

No. Streaming media such as wmv, rm, mp3 or any similar media files are strictly not allowed under shared hosting environment.
 
 
11. I already have my own domain name. I just want to subscribe to your web hosting plans.

Sure. All you have to do is just to subscribe to any of our web hosting plans and we will do the rest of the process with you. You need to obtain the Domain Login URL, UserID & Password in order to use the existing domain with our hosting service.
 
 
12. How do I transfer my domain and web site from existing provider to you?

Please follow steps below for the transfer procedure:

1) Please backup your files and email message (if using webmail) at your current hosting provider account.
2) Please signup online via our ordering system http://order.netonboard.com/
3) Kindly proceed with the payment and send us the bankin slip via fax or email - billing@netonboard.com.
4) A new hosting account will be created. You need to login to create all existing email account and upload web pages (if any).
5) Please provide us the Domain Control Panel Username & Password, LoginURL and Domain Authentication code (Domain secrets) for domain transfer purpose. This info can be obtained from your current domain provider.
6) Please inform us when you complete step 4 as for us to update nameserver to point your domain to our server.
7) After that we will initiate domain transfer process which will take 5-7 days to complete but this process will be transparent to user and does not interrupt your email services.

Note: Domain transfer must be performed before the expiry date.
 
 
13. Do you help me to upload web content to your server?

No. Once you have subscribed to our web hosting plans, you will have an FTP access account that allows you to upload your content to our server yourself. The upload process is pretty simple where we do provide a step by step flash tutorial to guide you through the process.
 
 
14. How fast can I get the service?

All the registration order will be processed only after payment receipt is provided and verified.

During working days Mon-Fri (9.30am-6.30pm) your hosting account setup will take less than 24 hours (usually within 2-3hours) for activation.

Payment receipts received during off working hours, are to be verified by our billing team on following working day. Account setup is to be carried out thereafter.
 
 
15. Do you provide money back guarantee on web hosting service?
Yes, we provide a 15 days money back guarantee on web hosting fee.
 
16. Okay. I have place an order online, what shall I do next?

Please wait for an order confirmation received at your mailbox. After that, you may proceed with the payment. Do remember to notify us with the payment slip after payment is made either by fax or email the receipt to us. (We would not able to trace which payment is from you if no notification is received and thereby we are unable to proceed with your registration.)
 
 
17. How much does it cost to upgrade from one Web Hosting plan to another?

To upgrade hosting plan, you will only need to pay the amount difference between both packages plus a processing fee. The expiry date for the additional space will follow the first registration expiry date within the year.

18. Can I downgrade from one Web Hosting plan to another?

We do not provide any downgrade options before the existing subscription expire. However you can choose to upgrade or downgrade when you renew your annual subscription.
 
 
19. Can I terminate the hosting subscription at any time?

Yes you can. We advise subscribers not to terminate the hosting service until the hosting expire because no refund will be made even you terminate the service before the expiry date.
 
 
20. Do you help customers to submit URLs to search engines?

You may submit the URL to following search engine easily.

21. What does the Control Panel do?

The Control Panel provides an interface for subscribers to manage, and control their web site such as editing accounts and uploading files. You can use the control panel provided through our website to help you administer your website. You have full access to your pages and in fact, you and only you have the right to make changes to them.
